First and foremost, Perak is home to Malaysia’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Archaeological Heritage of the Lenggong Valley. This site holds some of the oldest human remains in Southeast Asia, dating back over 11,000 years! I’ll share fascinating insights about the prehistoric findings, including the famous Perak Man, the oldest most complete human skeleton in this region. But Perak isn’t just about ancient history! We have stunning natural wonders like the Kuala Kangsar Royal Town, Ipoh’s colonial heritage, the limestone cave temples, and the breathtaking Belum-Temengor Rainforest, one of the world’s oldest rainforests. If you’re a nature lover, you’ll be amazed by our eco-tourism sites, from Gua Tempurung to Kellie’s Castle—each with its own exciting story. And of course, no visit to Perak is complete without indulging in our delicious food! Ipoh is world-famous for its Ipoh white coffee, silky smooth tau fu fah, and hearty nga choy kai (bean sprout chicken).
