The Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, Malaysia’s largest and most prominent mosque, is located in Shah Alam beside Tasik Raja Lumu. Officially opened on 11 March 1988 by the Sultan of Selangor, it features a striking blue dome and blends Islamic and Malay architectural styles. Spanning 14.6 hectares, it can accommodate up to 24,000 worshippers and includes facilities such as lecture halls, seminar rooms, a library, religious classes, a wedding hall, and spacious ablution areas. With three levels, the mosque houses meeting and reception rooms on the ground floor and the main prayer hall on the first, serving as a powerful symbol of Islam’s prominence and Selangor’s pride.
