Description

Masjid Diraja Tengku Ampuan Jemaah in Bukit Jelutong was officially opened on 16 March 2013 by Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah. Named after the late Tengku Ampuan Jemaah, Malaysia’s 9th Raja Permaisuri Agong, it was built between 2010 and 2013 and accommodates up to 4,000 worshippers. Funded through a RM25.5 million waqf from sources including the Selangor State Government and Sime Darby, its design was revised by Dato’ Seri Nik Mohamed Mahmood to reflect Islamic spirituality, inspired by Al-Masjid Al-Haram. Featuring four minarets, a central dome, marble mihrab, red carpets, and songket motifs, it blends Middle Eastern and Malaysian architectural elements.
