Discover the Heart of Malaysia Through Its Mosques
Experience one of Malaysia’s most unique cultural events at the National Mosque Open Day 2026, where visitors of all backgrounds are warmly welcomed to discover the beauty, heritage and hospitality of Islam.
Organised by the Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC), this three-day celebration invites Muslims and non-Muslims alike to explore the mosque beyond its role as a place of worship. Through engaging activities, cultural experiences and meaningful interactions with the local community, visitors will gain a deeper appreciation of Islamic traditions, values and the welcoming spirit that defines Malaysia’s Muslim-friendly tourism.
Mosques have long served as centres of faith, knowledge and community. Today, they also offer enriching cultural experiences for travellers seeking authentic connections with local people and traditions. National Mosque Open Day highlights these experiences while showcasing Malaysia’s rich Islamic heritage, stunning mosque architecture and warm hospitality.
Whether you are travelling with family, friends or visiting on your own, National Mosque Open Day offers something for everyone.
