Description

Masjid Ar-Rahimah in Kuala Kubu Bharu was built following the 1883 flood that led to the relocation of residents. The original mosque, established in 1965, was replaced in 1999 as the population grew. The new mosque, opened by Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah in 2002, features a tall minaret outside the main building and architecture said to resemble the classical English style. The mosque’s light blue and white color theme creates a calm atmosphere. Its spacious prayer hall is comfortably carpeted, offering a pleasant setting for worshippers. The flood-affected area was renamed Ampang Pechah in memory of the tragedy.
