Masjid Jamek Bandar Baru UDA is a main mosque in Bandar Baru UDA in Johor
Bahru, Johor, Malaysia . Masjid Jamek Bandar Baru UDA was built in July 1994 and completed in
December 1996. It was first used on Friday 3rd January 1997 equivalent to 23 Sya’ban 1417. The
construction cost of RM 4.2 million was funded by UDA Holding of RM 2 million while RM 1.55 million
through generous and the efforts of Bandar Baru UDA residents. State and Federal governments
donated RM 0.65 million. With an area of 18,640 square feet, the mosque can accommodate nearly

This Masjid Jamek is a modern mosque in the state of Johor. The design of this mosque is based on the Middle East and features simple décor. The collaboration and mutual support of the people here have made the mosque able to generate its own income that can carry out religious and social activities.
The mosque is governed by a chairman, treasurer, secretary and several committee members who are the driving force of all mosque activities. The mosque also has dialysis clinic facilities run by doctors and trained nurses employed by the Bandar Baru Uda Mosque Foundation itself. There are 12 dialysis machines available. The service is funded by the Mosque Foundation and the Johor Islamic Religious Council. It is provided free to the less fortunate.
