Description

Masjid Kota Iskandar, completed in 2014 in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, is the state’s second mosque after Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque. It features a modern yet modest design, highlighted by a hollowed skeleton dome with a skylight and six minarets that glow blue at night. The simple interior includes a whitewashed prayer hall, horseshoe-shaped mihrab, and timber minbar. Surrounded by a tropical Islamic garden, the mosque offers facilities such as a mini library, classrooms, seminar rooms, and a mortuary, connected by a bridge to the Sultan Ismail Building. Its design aligns with the qibla within a wider civic and cultural precinct.
