PESTA ANGIN TIMUR

Pesta Angin Timur Perlis (PAT) is a prestigious programme inspired by the unique phenomenon of the East Wind that is synonymous with the state of Perlis. The organisation of this event aims to highlight the cultural heritage and lifestyle of the local farming community through various traditional activities rooted in paddy-field life, while showcasing the identity and socio-cultural uniqueness of the state.

For PAT 2026, a variety of new and fresh elements have been introduced to enhance the appeal of the programme and broaden community participation across all segments of society. Among the main highlights that will enliven PAT 2026 are the Folding Bicycle Gathering, Gasing Pangkah Competition (traditional spinning top), Kabaddi Tournament, Classic Motorcycle Gathering, Traditional Games Competition, Silat Drumming Competition, Combined Drumming Performance, Decorated “Iron Buffalo” Competition, Scarecrow Competition and Slingshot Competition.

These activities not only aim to revive and preserve traditional heritage and local cultural treasures, but also serve as a platform to strengthen cultural identity, foster community spirit, and promote Perlis as a distinctive and competitive cultural tourism destination.
